Update on our Baby James

james-farm-fresh-update

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been over a month since we welcomed our lil bundle of joy into this world! As probably any new parent will tell you, time flies by. Adjusting to the new schedule baby James has us on is the most challenging part. Seems like the days have all blurred together. I think Jason and I have felt every possible emotion lately, we have been tested in ways that we have never really truly explored. Patience, flexibility, sincere selflessness, exhaustion, resilience and endurance just to name a few. The limited amount of sleep alone has made us feel like we have aged a year in only a matter of weeks, but you know what, we both wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. We love James!…

Introducing baby James!

its-a-boy-james-joseph-gavin

We are so excited and proud to introduce the newest and cutest addition to our family, baby James Joseph Gavin! He came into this world in a hurry and just in time for breakfast. That’s our lil fella, he was born to eat!

Have you ever seen those car commercials or scenes in movies where the pregnant wife is in agony and the husband is scrambling to get the car packed and drives like a speed demon, running red lights, trying with all his might to stay calm and get to the hospital? Well, that is pretty much our experience with the delivery of our sweet baby James, and I wouldn’t expect anything more than adventure with our lives together so far! After weeks of nesting, blogging, cooking and getting our home ready for babies arrival, James must have known that we were finally relaxing for just a few moments because he decided he was ready to check out his new digs!…

Our lil Gavin Baby Shower

babyshower-bay-area

When we announced to our families this past winter that we had a little Gavin on the way, they were very excited and some were already anxious to plan the baby shower! It is crazy how fast eight months passes us by and now we are on the eight week countdown! Many of our family and friends live in either Northern or Southern California, although Jason has some relatives that reside on the East coast. So one party turned quickly into two baby shower parties! I wanted to still be able to travel comfortably on a plane, so we chose the month of May to celebrate Baby Gavin!…

On Friday afternoon of July 1st, 2011 I married my soul mate, Jason Lawrence Gavin. We had an intimate beach wedding with 100 of our closest family and friends at Crystal Cove state park in Newport Coast, CA.
