The 59th annual 2013 Summer Fancy Food Show took place in the bustling streets of New York City at the Jacob Javits Center. The show was sponsored by Specialty Foods Association, a not-for-profit trade association for food artisans, importers and entrepreneurs. The Fancy food Show is North America’s Largest Specialty Food and Beverage event, featuring 180,000 products in 40 product categories. The 2,400 exhibitors from 80 countries and regions showcased various products such as confections, cheese, coffee, wines, spirits, snacks, spices, ethnic, natural, organic and much more….

We had an intimate beach wedding with 100 of our closest family and friends at Crystal Cove state park in Newport Coast, CA. The wedding was catered by the only restaurant on the beach which happens to be just a few feet from the wedding site, The Beachcomber Cafe. Look at this beautiful woman, what a special treat! This year for Mother’s Day, Jason and I traveled to Florida to spend some quality time with his grandparents; Rose & Joseph Puglisi. It is always a fun trip visiting Jason’s grandparents. One of the nights we attended The Show Palace Dinner Theatre for “Book of Love, A Doo Wop Romance”, which was like a live musical of my favorite movie, Grease! We also visited with their friends for dinner and took a drive down to Tarpon Springs for gyros….

2012 FoodBuzz Blogger Festival

I had never attended a Food Blogger conference or festival before and I was really excited when I found out I was going to be in the Bay Area the same weekend as the 2012 FoodBuzz Blogger Festival. So of course I made the preparations to attend the event and check it out. The festival was hosted by the popular DailyBuzz media company and included numerous events such as Dine About Town on Friday night in San Francisco, where the food bloggers got a chance to taste the best restaurants all around the city. Each blogger even received $50 to spend at the restaurant of their choice! Saturday morning, bloggers gathered at the Ferry building for a Farmer’s Market Excursion and Scavenger hunt. To wrap up the festival, there was even a gala on Saturday night at the California Academy of Sciences….
