How to Cook Bacon in the Oven

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces bacon (200g) 8 slices

Instructions

Chewy Bacon

  • Position the oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 375°F (191°C).
  • Line a large sheet tray with foil.
  • Place the bacon on the pan making sure that they do not overlap.
  • Roast the bacon for 15 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven and use tongs to flip over the bacon.
  • Bake until bacon is fully cooked, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer bacon to a paper towel lined sheet tray to absorb the excess grease.
  • Eat immediately or once cooled, transfer to a resealable plastic bag and refrigerate for up to one week.

Crispy Bacon

  • Line a baking pan with foil. Place a baking rack on top.
  • Position the oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 375°F (191°C).
  • Place the bacon on the baking rack, making sure that they do not overlap.
  • Roast the bacon for 15 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven and use tongs to flip over the bacon.
  • Bake until bacon is fully cooked, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Transfer bacon to a paper towel lined sheet tray to absorb the excess grease.
  • Eat immediately or once cooled, transfer to a resealable plastic bag and refrigerate for up to one week.

Notes

  • Bacon can be refrigerated in a resealable bag for up to 1 week.
  • Individual slices of cooked bacon can be wrapped in paper towel and microwave for 15 seconds to reheat.
