Freezing Bananas: Slice into ½-inch thick slices. Transfer to a resealable plastic bag and spread into a single layer, seal, and close. Freeze until solid, about 3 hours or more. One medium banana yields about 1/2 cup slices.
Freezing Fresh Fruit: Any other type of fruit can be frozen in a single layer until ready to use. Make sure pieces are no larger than 1 inch in size.
