The creation of Bouchon Bakery was inspired by boulangerie’s in Paris. The bakery features timeless classics like the macaron, croissant, tart, and chocolate confections. Lucky for me, the croissant is my absolute favorite indulgence- tender, flaky, rich and simple, and Bouchon Bakery knows how to make them just so.
If you are in the mood for a quick sugar or pastry fix, Thomas Keller’s famous Bouchon Bakery is a must! There are numerous locations; Beverley Hills, Las Vegas, New York, however, we paid a visit to the bakery in Yountville, California while on a wine trip to Napa Valley.
The shop is quite small inside, however, there are enough goodies to fill an entire bakery box!
I had a hard time deciding which macaron I wanted to try…
So I settled on the hazelnut, and it was wonderful! Crisp, chewy, melt in your mouth, perfect!
Of course we couldn’t just visit one time, so at the end of our trip, we brought home a box of croissants, macarons and danishes for the family to taste.
Now that I’ve had one of the most amazing macarons, I might be tempted to recreate them at home!
